Each Month, starting May 2014, O2EA (Overweight to Endurance Athlete) is challenging us to rack up the miles. We pick an exercise, estimate how many miles we do and log our miles. We also earn miles for Yoga classes, Fitness classes,Personal training, and logging our food. At the end of the month we get a little prize if we meet or exceed our estimated mileage. The coaches are challenging us this way to help hold us accountable. Just what I need. Because I am out of state I created this blog to keep track of all my miles. If you want more info on what O2EA is about check out their webpage at www.o2ea.com

May 2014 Mileage Challenge Details!!!

Here are the details of what I am doing. O2EA (o2ea.com) is a Fitness Studio and community in Denver, Co.  The founder, Richard Kalasky has lost about 160 pounds and now races endurance sports including IRONMAN triathlons.  He has put together a great team to help people reach success. This is a challenge that the coaches have put together to help hold us accountable each month with our eating and our activity.  Their studio is in Denver, Co., but they are committed to helping people nationwide.  So glad that I have met these amazing people.

O2EA monthly mileage challenge

Starts May 1st

We want to give you all the opportunity to challenge yourself – more. So starting May 1st 2014 we are opening up an individual mileage challenge to all O2EA'ers.

Details:

Before the beginning of the monthly challenge pick one activity from which you will build your monthly mileage. Any non motorized activity – biking, running, swimming, hiking/walking, etc..- counts. Then challenge yourself by setting a month mileage goal to reach for that activity. Document all your miles using any app or website during the month. Meet or exceed your stated mileage and receive a gift from O2EA for your hard work.

To keep you going - O2EA will help you accumulate those miles
  • Each fitness and Yoga class taken in that month add 5 miles to your activity
  • Each 1 hr. personal training session with Rich, Geof or Lindsey add 10 miles to your activity
  • Submit a monthly food log and receive ½ mile for each day documented.

Small print stuff:
  • Only one activity / person / month to count towards your overall miles
